Details
The application is designed as a front-end to the existing time proven calculations
developed as part of Excel Work books. The calculations let the users design the
high-level design features of the car including the packaging, length, etc. The
inputs to excel include the design considerations like the mid-size car with wheel
lengths etc. The application provides the web front-end to the excel tool. Server
side program is written as servlets, which use the RMI/JNI connection through COM
to connect with, excel to manage and retrieve the data. The presentation layer is
developed as html with the look and feel of spreadsheet format.
