Web Application Development/Deployment - Example
Purpose
This application is used to coordinate the Financial Data and Inventory data for Sage Dining Services. Sage Dining Services is a uses a centralized data center for a set of Satellite facilities which periodically upload/download data from the central server. This application would automate the process based on configuration settings based on the location.

Details
This application is implemented using the Trusted Applet Technology provided in Java 1.2. Digital Certificates were generated by the Server to sign the applet and installed on the Client base to make the server a Trusted Entity. Because of Limitations on the OS a custom TCP/IP Server was developed to accept requests from the client.
